Anne Gates is a mom to two adorable girls with very long hair. They live in the south where lice runs rampant among the school community. After countless hours of desperate research in the wee hours of the night during three bouts of lice in 10 months, Anne realized there was a serious lack of mom-to-mom helpful advice on how to remove the pest from the family home. Frustrated with spending hundreds of dollars on professional services only to have the problem reoccur, Anne knew there had to be a better way to deal with lice.
Anne knows that no mom wants to see gross pictures of microscopic bugs when really all she needs to know is how to comb her kids’ hair or which product is the easiest to get through curls.
Anne is not a doctor and has no official medical training other than her hard earned “Dr. Mom” title. “Uninvited: a mom’s guide to killing lice” is full of advice she used on her very own kids. She hopes you will find it helpful and that it will save you from googling “How long do lice live?” at 2 am on your phone when you really should be sleeping.
